Abstract

Perkembangan layanan streaming film telah meningkatkan jumlah konten yang tersedia sehingga pengguna sering mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan film yang sesuai dengan preferensinya. Sistem rekomendasi menjadi salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu pengguna memperoleh rekomendasi film yang lebih relevan dan personal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan performa metode User-Based Collaborative Filtering dan Item-Based Collaborative Filtering pada sistem rekomendasi film menggunakan dataset MovieLens 100K. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen yang meliputi tahap persiapan data, pembentukan matriks pengguna-item, perhitungan kemiripan menggunakan Cosine Similarity, serta evaluasi kinerja sistem. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan metrik Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Precision, Recall, dan F1-Score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Item-Based Collaborative Filtering memperoleh performa yang lebih baik dibandingkan User-Based Collaborative Filtering dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 0,8895 dan MAE sebesar 0,6841, sedangkan User-Based Collaborative Filtering memperoleh nilai RMSE sebesar 0,9214 dan MAE sebesar 0,7142. Selain itu, metode Item-Based Collaborative Filtering juga menghasilkan nilai Precision sebesar 0,8173, Recall sebesar 0,8261, dan F1-Score sebesar 0,8217 yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan metode User-Based Collaborative Filtering. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis item lebih efektif dalam menghasilkan rekomendasi film yang akurat dan relevan berdasarkan data rating pengguna.
