Reviewer Guide

Journal of Innovation in Education and Learning (JINEA) greatly values the contribution of reviewers in maintaining the scientific quality of published articles. Reviewers play a crucial role in the selection, evaluation, and refinement of manuscripts before publication.

Reviewer’s Duties

  • Assess the academic quality, relevance, and scientific contribution of assigned manuscripts.
  • Provide constructive feedback to authors for improving content, structure, and methodology.
  • Evaluate originality, novelty, and the topic’s relevance to the journal’s focus.
  • Maintain manuscript confidentiality and refrain from disseminating its content.

Review Principles

Reviewers are expected to provide objective and professional assessments by considering the following aspects:

  • Originality: Does the manuscript present new ideas or concepts?
  • Relevance: Is the topic aligned with the journal’s focus and scope?
  • Methodology: Is the research method clearly and validly explained?
  • Reference Completeness: Are the cited scholarly sources credible and relevant?
  • Clarity of Writing: Is the manuscript logically structured and easy to understand?

Feedback Format

Reviewers are requested to provide comments in two forms:

  1. For Authors: Offer suggestions and feedback politely, clearly, and constructively.
  2. For Editors: Provide an overall evaluation and final recommendation (accepted / minor revision / major revision / rejected).

Review Deadline

The standard review period is 10–14 days after the reviewer accepts the assignment. Reviewers may contact the editor if additional time is needed or if they wish to decline the review assignment.

Reviewer Ethics

  • Maintain manuscript confidentiality and refrain from using it for personal purposes.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest (personal, professional, or institutional relationships with the author).
  • Provide honest, objective, and unbiased reviews.

Thank you for your dedication in helping JINEA maintain high-quality and trustworthy scientific publications.
