Author Guidelines

 
AUTHOR GUIDELINES – SMARTH: Journal of Mathematics Education and Learning
SMARTH publishes high-quality research articles, systematic literature reviews, and conceptual papers in mathematics education and learning.

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Submit manuscripts via Online Submission through the SMARTH OJS system.
  • Accepted article types: Research Articles, Systematic Literature Reviews, and Conceptual Papers.
  • Maximum length: approximately 14 pages (6,000 words).
  • Similarity index should not exceed 20%.
  • Authors are encouraged to cite relevant articles from SMARTH.
  • Manuscripts must follow the official journal template.

2. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

Section Word Count Proportion Description
Abstract 150–250 3% Background, objective, method, results, conclusion.
Introduction 700–900 10–15% Research gap, novelty, objectives.
Methods 1,000–1,100 14–20% Research design, participants, instruments, analysis.
Results & Discussion 2,200–3,000 36–45% Findings, interpretation, comparison with previous studies.
Conclusion 200–250 4% Key findings and implications.
References ≥20 - APA 7th Edition; prioritize recent journal articles.

3. MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

  • Use the official journal template.
  • Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
  • References must follow APA 7th Edition.
  • Reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero is recommended.

4. TABLES AND FIGURES

  • Tables should have titles above the table.
  • Figures should have captions below the figure.
  • Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  • All tables and figures must be cited in the manuscript.

5. PEER REVIEW

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
  • Authors are normally given up to two weeks to submit revisions.
